Onchan’s Community Christmas will take place on December 4.
The commissioners are organising a 'festive get-together' with glowsticks, lanterns and burning wax torches.
There will also be carols and the traditional appearance from Father Christmas and Rudolph.
The event, at the Youth and Community Centre car park in School Road, will start at 7pm and replaces the annual torchlight procession.
Torches can be bought on the night or will be available from various shops in Onchan from November 27.
In the case of bad weather, the event will be held the following evening.
