
Motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys as major resurfacing work begins on Main Road and Whitebridge Road in Onchan this weekend.
Works are expected to take three weeks from Saturday, September 8.
The stretch of road between Church Road and School Road will be closed on September 8, 9 and 15.
For the remainder of the works, the roads will be open and temporary traffic lights will be in operation to control traffic flow.
During the closures, south bound traffic from the North will be diverted via King Edward Road (Groudle) with access to School Road, Ballachrink and Lakeside as normal along the Whitebridge Road.
North bound traffic is advised to use King Edward Road.
School Road, Ballachrink and Lakeside will be accessible via Church Road Groudle Road and Windemere Drive.
