40-year-old denies abusive behaviour and common assault
The first person to be prosecuted under new domestic abuse legislation will stand trial.
Charlotte Rebecca Dougherty, of Ballachrink Drive in Onchan, denies her alleged abusive behaviour did, or could have, caused physical or psychological harm.
The 40-year-old appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday (23 February) where the court heard the charges dates between 4 and 31 January; she also denied a charge of common assault from the latter date.
A pre-trial review will take place on 13 April – there was no application for bail and she was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.
