Family makes pilgrimage for tragic relative
Relatives of a former TT Marshal are gathering on the Island today (Sat) to give him 'the send-off he would have wanted'.
Mervyn Lincoln, who was originally from Norwich, died suddenly earlier this year aged 64.
He had moved to Douglas 30 years earlier to pursue his passion for motorbikes.
Mr Lincoln's family are bringing his ashes back for a 'final lap' of the TT course this afternoon, setting off at 2pm.
After the ride out, they will then privately scatter the ashes between two of his favourite places, Cronk-Y-Voddy and Joey's Corner.
His niece, Kirsty Lincoln, says Mervyn's friends - and any other well-wishers - are encouraged to come along:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
Plans submitted for 85 new homes on former Buchan School site
