There was one last minute addition to the line-up of general election candidates, and one withdrawal, when nominations closed at 2pm today (Tuesday).
David Jones, an engineer from Lonan, is standing as a Liberal Vannin candidate in Rushen, alongside Phil Gawne, Quintin Gill, John Orme, Laurence Skelly and Juan Watterson.
In West Douglas taxi driver Martin Moore dropped out of the race, leaving Geoff Corkish, John Shimmin, John Skinner and Chris Thomas.
In the 13 other constituencies there were no late changes, which means 64 candidates will contest the 24 seats when voters go to the polls on Thursday, September 29.
