Julie Edge seeking re-election in September
One of Onchan's sitting MHKs has declared her intention to stand in this year's General Election.
Julie Edge was first elected in 2016 and is looking to keep her seat in September.
She says since then she's delivered significantly on her pledges, but says there are many more challenges ahead.
Her priorities include improving health services, reforming taxation policies, improving children and family services with extra care provided for the most vulnerable.
She also wants to see climate change addressed reasonably and make sure decent housing is provided for all.
This year's election will take place on Thursday 23 September.
