Isle of Man Post Office says it's had one alternative to closing its Crown branches in Ramsey and Douglas.
It's come from the Ramsey Postal Cooperative, which has sbumitted proposals for a sub post office in Ramsey's courthouse building.
The board will discuss the plan's viability, comparing it to the original proposals to move services to a nearby Spar store.
The board's also ruled out delaying its decision for another six months, after a request from the Communications Workers Union.
The Post Office says it won't comment further until a final decision is made.
