Order made just over a week after borders were shut
The Manx Government purchased 1,000 'body bags' just over a week after closing the Island’s borders due to Covid-19.
The Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed they were bought on 7 April 2020.
It’s information that’s been released as part of a response to a Freedom of Information request which asked how many were purchased during the pandemic period.
The items were purchased through the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procurement team.
