
Those involved in the TT have been welcoming the news the Mountain section of the course will be one-way throughout this year’s festival.
An announcement was made on Friday that, following the scheme’s success in cutting accidents during the centenary TT, it will be repeated this year.
The traffic arrangements will mean the Mountain Road will be one-way between the Ramsey Hairpin and Creg Ny Baa for the entire fortnight.
Manx Radio TT commentator Maurice Mawdsley says fewer accidents on open roads is good news for the festival as a whole (audio file attached):
