Changes to be introduced from 15 June
Douglas Promenade will be one way between Victoria Street and Summerhill later this month.
The Department of Infrastructure has announced changes to the ongoing works, with a new completion date of March 2021.
From Monday 15 June until the end of the school summer holiday, traffic will only be able to travel towards Summerhill.
Working hours are being extended from 7.30am to 6.30pm, as well as weekend hours.
Walkway parking will be suspended and some side roads such as Church Road Marina and Broadway will have closures in order to complete the work in time.
It follows confirmation that the single horse tram track will be added between the War Memorial and the Sea Terminal over the winter of 2021-22.
