Head-on collision almost caused, say police
A head-on collision on the Mountain Road was narrowly avoided this morning, say police.
A motorcyclist was spotted travelling against the one-way system between Kate's Cottage and Windy Corner at around 8.30am.
Police say the only information they have about the rider is they were dressed all in black.
Enquiries continue, as they try to find out who it was.
Officers have issued a plea, saying just because the racing is sometimes delayed or the roads are quiet, the one-way system is in place for a reason and that's purely and simply for everyone's safety.
