Residents advised to keep doors and windows closed
UPDATE 8PM: Crews say the fire has now been extinguished.

Fire crews are currently dealing with an 'ongoing fire incident' in the Union Mills area.
Residents nearby are being advised to keep doors and windows closed as a precaution.
The footpath along the heritage railway line is also currently closed until further notice.

Manx Radio understands signage concerning asbestos is attached to what is believed to be a disused government building - we have contacted the Department of Infrastructure for comment.
UPDATE 5:30pm: The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed that the building affected is used for storage.
It says its officers are now 'investigating the extent of the damage'.
