Police warn internet users to be careful
Police are warning of a re-emergence of 'romance scams' on the Island.
Inspector Gavin Callow says victims are lured by people pretending to like them online who then seek financial assistance.
He adds there was a recent case in the Island where a member of the public was duped by someone claiming to be a singer asking for money:
