MHK claims failure to do so could 'crash the economy'
An MHK has claimed government could ‘crash the economy’ if it doesn't involve the private sector in its plans for renewable energy.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew politician Tim Glover brought a motion to Tynwald yesterday (Wednesday, 22 November) concerning locally generated renewable electricity.
He told members that the finer detail of Manx Utilities' plans should have been debated within the court before the project got to the stage it's currently at.
Mr Glover also questioned why public sector investment was decided 'within the secret confines of Council of Ministers':
