Event being held to showcase history of 1st Douglas Scouts
A collection of old photographs, memorabilia and stories showcasing the history of the 1st Douglas Scouts is on display today (1 March).
The exhibition - 'From Past to Future' – will be held at the group’s headquarters on Demesne Road and offers an insight into the membership and activities dating back to 1909.
Doors open at 4pm and, at 5.15pm, a presentation will be made to the RNLI following the scout group's numerous fundraising activities last year.
The day will conclude with an indoor campfire.
