An inquest has heard a Douglas man died from several self inflicted stab wounds to the neck.
Bernard Alan Jenkinson was found dead at his flat in Belmont Terrace, Douglas on May 5.

It was heard today that Mr Jenkinson, who was 48, had been released from prison earlier in the year after he had been convicted of the indecent assault of a 16 year-old girl.
Coroner Michael Moyle heard evidence from Detective Constable Catherine Giles and it was revealed that Mr Jenkinson had a history of depression, alcoholism and self harm.
He regularly cut himself and was admitted to A and E on several occasions.
Witness statements revealed there were blood stains in the bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
However, the property was secure and there was no evidence of a third party involvement.
Mr Moyle concluded by recording an open verdict.
He said Mr Jenkinson had been the author of his own death, it was self inflicted and the cause of death was stab wounds to the neck.
It seemed extreme, but he wasn't satisfied he intended to kill himself.
