The boss of a shipping company which hopes to rival the Steam Packet says he’s determined to be as open and transparent as possible.
Captain Kurt Buchholz is heading up the Ellan Vannin Line, which is hoping to begin freight services to compete with the Island’s ferry company this Autumn.
On Friday, he’ll host a public meeting at the Noble’s Park Pavilion starting at 6pm to explain what the plans for the future are.
He says in the past, attempts to compete with the Steam Packet have been somewhat furtive – something he hopes to change.
