18 people due to appear at Douglas Courthouse this week
Eighteen people who were caught supplying drugs in the Isle of Man’s nighttime economy will be sentenced this week.
They were all arrested as part of ‘Operation Nightjar’.
The police initiative, which ran last year, used undercover officers to target the supply of Class A substances.
In some cases they had approached the defendants after being given their mobile phone numbers, or Snapchat details, when asking people where they could buy ‘sniff’.

The 16 men and two women will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on Thursday and Friday (20 and 21 June).
Today (17 June) six men appeared at Douglas Courthouse where their advocates put forward their mitigation; another seven people will appear tomorrow and five will appear on Wednesday.
