Treasury Minister outlines financial plan for the year
The 2018 Manx Budget has been branded one of 'broken promises' by Lawrie Hooper.
The Ramsey MHK was fiercely critical of Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan's speech in Tynwald on Tuesday.
He said the content would provide inadequate funding for the health service, stretch police resources and hit middle-earners hardest.
But the budget speech has split opinion in the Tynwald chamber, with others voicing their support.
Key initiatives include personal tax allowances increasing by £750, a new single-tier Manx state pension by April 2019, and priority budgeting for departments.
