Traffic flows lower than normal, says construction manager
Now is an 'opportune moment' to commence regeneration works on Market Hill and Lord Street in Douglas, according to the Department of Infrastructure's construction manager.
But with the well-documented multi-million pound project on Douglas promenade already happening, is this going to be an especially difficult time for people to move around the capital?
The DoI's scheme was initially set to begin in June, before being pushed back.
It's hoped the revamp will make the area safer for pedestrians, and will improve access between North Quay and the high street.
