
The infrastructure minister is hopeful easyJet will increase the number of flights it operates to Gatwick, once it takes over Flybe's slots from March next year.
David Cretney says he thinks there is an economic case for them doing additional services.
Flybe announced last week it was selling its slots to easyJet for £20 million, citing hikes in landing fees at the London airport as the reason for doing so.
Mr Cretney says he's not worried about Flybe's commitments to other routes, though:
