'Stricter measures are required', says chief minister
The chief minister has announced that the option to have a Covid-19 test on day seven of quarantine will be revoked from this Sunday, 11 October.
Thereafter, anyone returning to the Island will have to undergo a fourteen-day compulsory self-isolation.
Speaking at today's government media briefing, Howard Quayle also said there will be no advancement on the borders framework, as the situation in the UK has worsened.

Mr Quayle said the reintroduction of the mandatory self-isolation will improve the number of coronavirus cases on the Isle of Man.
He reiterated that anyone returning to the Island must travel directly to their accommodation immediately, without stopping for any reason, including for 'petrol, sausage rolls or alcohol'.
The same rules apply to key workers.
