Disposal team examine device found in outbuilding
Police say the suspected unexploded ordnance found in a garden in Ramsey yesterday turned out to be an 'inert shell'.
A team from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit in the UK travelled over to the Island overnight and attended the address on Bowring Road this morning (23 January).
'Inert' means the device - which was found in the property's outbuilding - has previously been de-activated and is free from explosives.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says all services have now been stood down.
