Residents are being encouraged to think about 'life after death' during Organ Donation Week, which began yesterday (Mon).
Despite medical advances making it easier than ever, organs are still in short supply, with nine local patients currently awaiting a transplant.
More than 12,000 Islanders are currently signed up to the register - but health bosses are urging more to join.
