Unprecedented but unscathed
A Manxman based in Orlando Florida says Hurricane Irma has wreaked havoc 'coast to coast', and he's glad to have emerged unscathed.
Marc Harrison sheltered in his home as the eye of the hurricane, which was by then downgraded to a storm, passed over on Sunday night.
He'd also arranged for another Manx family, the Lees, to stay in a property owned by his company 'Exclusive Orlando Villa Rentals'.
After assessing the damage the following morning, Mr Harrison says the destruction was unprecedented:
If you have property in Florida, or are stranded in the state and need help, Marc is asking you to get in touch through the Exclusive Orlando Villa Rentals web site, or on 001 407 800 1954.
