Government will maximise opportunities in territorial waters
Two energy firms with an interest in Manx waters are expected to 'coordinate and cooperate' with one another.
Both wind energy company Ørsted and local gas group Crogga, have been granted licences to survey for their respective programmes off the coast of Maughold.
It is an overlap which government says is common.
In a statement to Manx Radio, the Director of Energy Policy Dr Ken Milne, says government will 'maximise the opportunities in Manx territorial waters'.
Dr Milne also thinks neither firm will unnecessarily hamper the other in their attempts to achieve their own objectives.
