The Chairman of the Manx Electricity Authority says he accepts Tynwald’s policy is to adopt wind and wave energy, but other priorities come first.
Rushen MHK Quintin Gill will say more about the subject on this evening’s Perspective programme, which is on renewable energy.
He says he has nothing against renewable energy replacing fossil fuel burning, but first and foremost he has to supply energy as cheaply as possible to the Island’s population.
Mr Gill told ffinlo Costain that, although a policy is in place, there are more important things for the MEA to do (play attached audio file):
You can hear more of that interview when ffinlo Costain presents Perspective at 6pm on Manx Radio.
