Former Ardwhallan site reopens after major revamp
The former Ardwhallan facility at West Baldwin has re-opened in its new guise as the Outdoor Learning Centre and welcomed its first visitors after a major revamp.
It provides outdoor learning opportunities for young people and forms a key part of the Department of Education Sport and Culture's Youth Strategy.
The soft launch involves free training days for teachers in order to see the facilities and learn how they can be best used to help young people. Students from UCM will also spend time there in the coming weeks.
It's hoped the centre will fully re-open this Spring with paddle-boarding, problem solving, orienteering and the brand new adventure course all up and running.
