A misadventure verdict has been recorded at a resumed inquest into the death of a competitor who lost his life after crashing at this year's Manx Grand Prix.
Neil Kent, 49, was an engineer and shop owner from Boston in Lincolnshire.
He was on a practice lap when he came off his 250cc Yamaha at Greeba Bridge, on August 24.
Mr Kent was airlifted to Noble's Hospital but was pronounced dead later the same evening.
Coroner Jane Hughes heard investigations into the possible cause of the accident showed his tyres were over-inflated, which could have been a contributory factor.
Recording the misadventure verdict, she offered condolences to Mr Kent's family and friends.
She also commended the skills and dedication of the medical and hospital staff and the marshals who helped him.
