Damage caused during rough weather conditions
Waves crashing over onto Douglas Promenade brought down a section of wall along the Sunken Gardens yesterday (7 February).
High tide and strong winds brought sea water and debris onto exposed sections of the Island's east coast, with the Ronaldsway Met Office issuing an amber weather warning.
Douglas Council has confirmed the damage was caused to Marine Garden Number Three.
It's estimated more than £200,000 was spent repairing a similar section of wall which collapsed during Storm Barra in 2022.
