
An Island based environmental organisation is praising the latest government green initiative.
DoLGE's Energy Initiatives Officer is asking Treasury to support an "Energy Fund", which will be there to finance future schemes.
It's all part of efforts to cut public sector CO2 emissions by 20% by 2010.
The One World Centre's Cheryl Cousins says it's brilliant the government is taking such an initiative to reduce carbon emissions.
She thinks it's an indication the government is taking environmental issues seriously, and the fact it's leading by example by getting its own house in order first is something which should be celebrated.
