Ramsey MHK says it's mainly the owners' responsibility to ensure they're well kept
More should be done to encourage owners of empty or dilapidated properties to invest in them according to one Ramsey MHK.
The last census in 2021 revealed there are currently around 5,000 empty buildings on the Island.
Alex Allinson says it's mainly down to the individual owners to make sure they're well kept.
However he says conversations are already happening about how this could be enforced in the future:
