This morning's Steam Packet sailing from Liverpool was cancelled due to strong winds in the Irish Sea.
It had been hoped the service wouldn't be affected, but the weather front which brought the high winds moved faster than predicted.
Passengers due to travel on the 11.15am sailing from Liverpool were transferred to the Ben-my-Chree service from Heysham at 2.15pm.
The Viking has since sailed back to Douglas without passengers, to be in place for her next sailing.
The strong wind warning came after the Viking left Douglas at 7.30 this morning.
