The chairman of the Steam Packet has criticised the effort required by the company to satisfy investigations into its charging structures.
Robert Quayle was commenting after the latest report, a consultative document commissioned by the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading, was pulled. The official reason given was that it was out of date and therefore 'irrelevant', but it's thought the major problem was within the make-up of the report itself.
Mr Quayle says freight charges had to come down after the so called 'freight war' with Mezeron, which has been making life tough for the Packet.
He was asked if the user agreement, between the Manx government and the Steam Packet, could be re-examined:
