Douglas man committed offences over more than a decade
A 57-year-old Douglas man's been jailed for nine years for a series of historical sexual offences.
Antony Carus, of Castle Mona Avenue, committed various offences such as gross indecency and indecent assault over more than ten years from 2001 to 2012.
All the offences took place on the Isle of Man and some of the incidents involved children as young as ten.
Deemster Birkett, sentencing, noted the 'grave and serious' nature of the acts committed.
He added the impact on the three victims would be both significant and long-term.
Carus was found guilty of six charges and has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
