Legislation would contravent human rights, says group
The Positive Action Group says recording child protection meetings safeguards the interests of families.
It's after the Department of Health and Social Care revealed parents can't be prosecuted for documenting them on devices like smart phones.
The DHSC says there's no legislation preventing people from doing it, but claims the act defeats the objective as the information belongs to the child, not its parents.
Roger Tomlinson from PAG says any change could contravene Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
He adds that government shouldn't be looking to legislate against it:
