'Big Brother' debate at public meeting
Do we need a government ‘Big Brother’ single database?
That's the topic for this evening's (Monday) Positive Action Group meeting at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas at 7.30pm.
A recent consultation about ‘Smarter use of your data’ focused on plans to centralise all records of Island residents on one database.
Appearing at the discussion this evening will be government director of change and reform Dan Davies and civil liberties campaigner Tristram Llewellyn Jones.
UK lawyer Allan Norman is opposed to the idea.
