UK-based company will direct Manx cast virtually
The Christmas pantomime will go ahead at the Gaiety Theatre this year, despite border restrictions preventing the production company visiting the Island.
UK-based Shone Productions will direct this year's show virtually after the Council of Ministers turned down a travel exemption for the cast and support staff.
This year's panto will be Sleeping Beauty rather than the previously-advertised Snow White, four fewer shows will be put on, and an all-Island cast will be used.
The company's three-year contract to stage the annual production has been extended by one year as a result of the changes.
