The Island will join together again next month, to recognise those who have served their country.
Armed Forces Day, previously known as Veterans' Day, will be held on Sunday, July 26.
The centrepiece will be a parade along Douglas Promenade and a church service, before a get-together with entertainment at the Villa Marina.
Chairman of the Armed Forces National Day Committee Brigadier Norman Butler says it's vital to recognise sacrifices which have been made by servicemen and women:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
