Parents will be given parking tickets if they continue to park dangerously at two Douglas primary schools, the police have warned.
The Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team say parents of children at St Mary's and Ballaquayle Infants' schools have been parking on yellow lines, blocking junctions and even leaving their cars unattended with the engines running.
On Somerset Road cars are left on the zebra crossing, forcing pupils to find other ways to cross the road.
Officers will be patrolling the areas over the next few weeks offering advice to drivers, and in some cases issuing fixed penalty notices.
