The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service discuss the importance of educating youngsters on the consequences
A fire safety officer on the Isle of Man says, in most cases, young people do not understand the dangers associated with starting fires.
It comes after Castletown Commissioners reported fires in public toilets and at Poulsom Park last week.
David Dallimore from Isle of Man Fire and Rescue says there has been a noticeable increase in such incidents during the school holidays.
He told Manx Radio a fire intervention scheme has been developed to help deter children from starting fires:
