
It doesn’t seem parliamentary reform will happen in a hurry.
That’s after a joint committee, comprising members of the House of Keys and Legislative Council, ‘agreed to disagree’ on constitutional principles raised in an electoral reform bill.
Proposed by MLC David Callister, it called for the Island to be split into eight constituencies, each represented by three MHKs and one MLC, all of whom would be democratically elected.
