A member of the Manx Labour Party believes it's been better to work with government rather than shouting from the sidelines, but admits he would consider his position if he was forced too compromise his beliefs too much.
David Cretney was speaking after his fellow South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey quit the Liberal Vannin Party over a policy issue.
The stumbling block was the rule which says LVP member shouldn't take on government or parliamentary responsibilities.
