If you are flying to Southampton in the next few days you may be able to help orphaned children in South Africa at the same time.
An 'Outreach' programme to help grandmothers who are caring for their orphaned grandchildren has been well supported in the Island.
However, due to a charge imposed by an airline, the charitable object of the exercise could be defeated unless a passenger, travelling light, is willing to transport two bags of wool to the south coast.
The Reverend Ginny Viner, who is behind the campaign, hopes the work won’t be undermined (audio file attached):
The Reverend Viner can be on 835026 or 435388.
