Five percent rise in passenger numbers during TT fortnight
More than 39,400 passengers have travelled to the Isle of Man by sea during this year's TT period, according to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
The figure marks a five percent increase on last year’s total, which itself was a record outside of the 2007 Centenary TT.
The company says it worked closely with event organisers, teams, and marshals to support the delivery of the Island's largest annual tourist event.
Managing Director Brian Thomson described the result as a "great outcome" for both the company and the local economy, adding that the firm hopes to build on the success next year.
Throughout the fortnight, three vessels have been in operation - flagship Manxman, high-speed craft Manannan, and reserve freight vessel Ben-my-Chree.
The ferry operator's TT schedule will continue until 12 June as visitors and competitors return home.
