Due to increase in number of unattended vehicles
People will no longer be able to drop-off or pick-up passengers outside the Isle of Man Airport.
It’s due to an increase in the number of unattended vehicles being left at the front of the terminal and a ‘near-miss incident’ between an individual and a bus.
From 6am tomorrow (31 May) the inner lane will be closed to all traffic.
The middle lane will be reserved for buses, taxis, disabled drop off and pick up, patient transfer minibuses and airport staff.
All other traffic will be required to use the main car park.
A spokesperson for the Department of Infrastructure said: “This decision has not been taken lightly but the safety and security of all customers and staff are our top priorities.”
