A public hearing has failed to dispel fears that Manx passengers entering the United Kingdom will have to show their passports.
The Standing Committee of Tynwald heard evidence from Chief Minister Tony Brown. Della Fletcher and Karen Scott from the external relations department of the Chief Secretary's Office were also questioned.
Although Mr Brown repeatedly assured the hearing he and the external relations department were striving to protect the traditional freedom of movement Manx people enjoy, he struck a cautious note.
