The road has now reopened between Ballig Bridge and the Switchback
The Great North Air Ambulance says it's taken a patient from the Isle of Man to a specialist hospital in England for further treatment.
It's after an incident on the Poortown Road near St Johns earlier.
The charity says it reached the patient at around 11.30am, who was stabilised before being flown across at around 12.10pm.
The road has now reopened between Ballig Bridge and the Switchback after being closed for around five hours.
