Staff at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital will soon be teaching patients with chronic conditions how to help each other.
The Expert Patients Programme encourages people suffering from cardiac problems, arthritis and many other long-term conditions to use their experiences to support fellow patients.
Experts from the United Kingdom have been showing hospital staff how the programme works and explaining why it's important.
One of the experts, Jean Thompson, believes the Isle of Man is the ideal location for the programme:
Police appeal to find three individuals to help with investigation
Some residents in Onchan without power
January's inflation rate stays the same
Child benefit payments delayed due to technical issue
