Ballaugh Commissioner replaces former Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper
Ballaugh Commissioner Paul Weatherall has taken over as the leader of Liberal Vannin.
The party held an executive meeting last night following last week's General Election, which saw none of the party's four candidates elected.
Mr Weatherall, who has previously been the chair of the party, takes over from Lawrie Hooper, who lost his seat as MHK for Ramsey.
Party founder Peter Karran confirmed Mr Weatherall will be the leader until the party holds its conference at the beginning of November.
